Thank you Hayley, I'm pleased you enjoyed it ☺️ They sit like that all day waiting for food, it's adorable. It's always hard to get a photo because the parents fly in and out so I have to be quick and time it just right 🤭
I really enjoyed this - what an epic journey they undertake and how lucky you are to be able to be a part of that! It has inspired me to at least get some bird feeders in my garden for the wealth of goldfinches and blue tits we have (but I have two cats so not sure if that is actually just creating a sacrificial offering?) 😬
I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it. The swallows journey amazes me each year, I still can't get my head around the fact that they return from such distance. Yes, the bird feeders could be a disaster if your cats roam free. Would they climb trees? If not, perhaps you could put a couple up high.
They try to climb trees but are not particularly successful at it! 😂 We tend to keep them in over the winter so I could put some feeders out in the colder months so the little birds have something to sustain them and the cats can just click at them from the safety of the window. 😁
Yes that's a brilliant idea. There's always plenty for the birds to eat over summer, I tend to stock up my feeders over winter and spend my morning smashing the ice on the water bowl for them 😂 I always got for a high fat feed over winter 😊
Great tips - I will start investigating fat balls! 😁Love the image of you outside on a cold winter’s morning smashing up ice as a line of birds look on. 😂
I envy their resilience and grace!
Me too Sinù! They're captivating. 🤎 I hope you & baby are doing well ☺️
Cute, I love this story ♥
Thank you so much, I'm really pleased that you enjoyed it 🥰
Another lovely read. That photo of the Swallows peaking out their nest is fab! Thanks Jenna 😊
